We are improving our systems to create a better experience for our customers and our provider network. Reference this page for a centralized source of all information regarding the updates.


We have phased out our current authorization (holds) processes. Prior authorization for medically necessary and replacement eyewear will continue. Eligibility can still be verified through our Provider Web Portal or by contacting the Customer Service Center at 800.252.2053. This is part of a broad upgrade of services that we will be rolling out over the upcoming months.

Phase 1: New Clearing House Trading Partner

Heritage has partnered with Smart Data Solutions (SDS) to accept electronic vision claims and provide clearinghouse functions.

  • SDS will allow for seamless claims data exchange between Heritage and our provider network.
  • Our new Payer ID is 96462.
  • Claims submitted through our Provider Web Portal will remain as is.
