Your eyes have to last a lifetime, and we want to do our part in helping you keep them healthy.
We encourage our members to have an annual eye exam. With a nationwide network of providers, you likely will be just minutes from a Heritage Vision Plans optometrist, ophthalmologist or optician. Along with great access and vision care options, you can also count on quality. Heritage network doctors and providers undergo a rigorous credentialing process before they join our network. We re-credential providers every two years and conduct on-site audits.

I've had HVP coverage for more than 10 years, and I've been thankful right from my first eye exam. The Heritage Vision Plan provider noticed something wrong and referred me to an ophthalmologist who discovered an aneurism in my eye.
It probably saved my life. Without the coverage, I'm not sure where I'd be today. I love Heritage Vision Plans and the great service your people provide.

Did you know that?
Optometrists specialize in diagnosing and treating vision problems, eye diseases and related conditions. They cannot perform surgery, but often provide patients with pre- and post-surgical care. Ophthalmologists, on the other hand, can perform surgery. They specialize in the medical and surgical care of the eyes and visual system and in the prevention of eye diseases and injury. Sometimes ophthalmologists and optometrists work in the same practice and co-manage patients.MORE WORDS TO KNOW
